The Korean works at a big skyscraper in New York, which has a little screen in the elevator showing news, weather and such. Just now, the screen was showing "Today's Tweeter Buzzword," and one of them was... "
Jaebum". As in 2PM. What the hell. Did anyone else see this?
Yeah I saw that too. I work in Boston. We must have the same crappy elevator news service. Thought Koreans really didn't use twitter...
ReplyDeleteReading the search is kind of interesting. Half is saying he should come back and the rest is asking why is his name trending.
ReplyDeleteWeird thing is that the whole Jaebeom thing happened back in September. No Jaebeom related news broke recently, except at this blog. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteApparently from what I heard, his fans decided to make Jaebeom's name a trending topic yesterday. That's dedication....
ReplyDelete1. Lot's more Koreans are using Twitter now. With the recent iPhone launch I think Twitter's popularity will continue to grow here.
ReplyDelete2. All our elevators ever show on those screens are weather reports and propaganda about why Hanhwa is the world's number one best global company in the universe.
I wish Jaebum would come back to Korea so I don't have to hear about it anymore...The fans were probably just up to something.
ReplyDeleteA couple of weeks ago at the MNET MAMA awards they were running around handing out cans of sports drink with "We love JAY" stickers plastered on the side. MNET had invited Jaebum to perform so there was some hope he'd show up. (It wasn't just high school girls either. I got my can from a dude. lol!)
Since JYP's company twitters, they're probably taking a more passive-agressive approach this time around...
Jaebeom should come back to Korea. Fucking stupid Super Junior's Kangin committed hit-and-run and physical assault but still got off the hook without much commotion while Jaebeom was treated like a criminal by Korean citizens. Jaebeom should totally come back.
ReplyDeleteyeah, commenting here will totally make Jaebeom come back. Totally.
ReplyDeleteJust to add to the random Korean Pop stars that show up as top trending topics on twitter:
ReplyDelete#sorrysorry for Super Junior when they won some... award. Was a little surprised by it.
Then again, Perez Hilton loves him some Super Junior.
