Very interesting history of beer in Korea, via Korea Times.

  1. Dear AAK,

Back when I was interested in the esoterica of Korean (well, it was esoterica to me, anyway) I seem to remember there were a large number of phrases in my Dong-A's K-E dictionary that were derived from Chinese characters that were usually of four syllables (and four C. characters, too). I don't have such a dictionary with me now, otherwise I'd provide an example, but it seems to me that

    Maekju Yoksa

    could be Hanjafied quite easily.
    What do you reckon?

And thanks for the link, too.

  2. Sure. It is:

    麥酒歷史

    Easy, like you suggested.
