That is an interesting article, and I agree with the rising influence of South Korea. Korea, is definitely on the move. As for little o' me in little o' New Zealand, the influence comes in the form of Korean TV Dramas which has been on our shores thanks to our south pacific neighbours - Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, Niue, Fiji. I wonder if our Korean business buddies know this could be another sales market they could tap into?.....food for thought.
By the way, 'Ask a Korean', you have a great blogsite here. I've only been following a little while, reading your comments - very insightful by the way - on very interesting topics for discussion. Thanks for stimulating reading, and captivating comments.
The Korean is a Korean American living in Washington D.C. He lived in Seoul until he was 16, then moved to Los Angeles area. The Korean refers to himself in the third person because he thinks it sounds cool.

I find this NYT story an even more interesting read: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/02/world/asia/02race.html
ReplyDelete, and wonder what those foolish fans would think if they knew they were thought of by Koreans as bastards/놈.
