I, for one, have never understood his tremendous popularity or the high praises heaped on his music. But then, I have never really followed his career too closely to form an informed opinion one way or the other. What is beyond doubt is that he and/or his manager are pure marketing geniuses when it comes to creating and maintaining Taiji's almost mythical status in Korea's music scene and making tremendous dough off it. Kudos from me in that regard.
The Korean is a Korean American living in Washington D.C. He lived in Seoul until he was 16, then moved to Los Angeles area. The Korean refers to himself in the third person because he thinks it sounds cool.
